Pastor, Pan Li

Pastor Pan Li was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, in 1990, he grew up in a Christian family. He was baptized at the age of 15 and, at 21, responded to God’s call to pursue theological training, subsequently studying at Singapore Baptist Theological Seminary and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the United States.

He began serving at Lake East Christian Church in 2019 and was ordained as a pastor in 2021. In his pastoral ministry, he places great emphasis on walking alongside the congregation with God’s Word, journeying with fellow believers through their lives, sharing the ups and downs while growing in grace and rooting themselves deeply in faith.

He married his wife, Wendy, in 2016, and they have a son named Jesse. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, fishing, and outdoor activities, as well as finding quiet moments in nature to reflect and be spiritually renewed.

Youth Minister, Po-Wei Chen

Po-Wei has a background in theology and mathematics and is passionate about helping young people grow in wisdom across the boundaries of faith, learning, and life. He enjoys working with students in mathematics, humanities, writing, and theology, and is especially interested in helping young people develop the intellectual and practical tools they need to navigate the world with curiosity, wisdom, and faith.

Children Minister, Wendy Li

Wendy Li is originally from Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, and is the youngest of three sisters. After graduating from college, she worked in the corporate sector for three years before responding to God’s call to ministry. She then attended the Singapore Baptist Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Divinity. During her studies in Singapore, she also served in Singapore Bethesda Bedok Tampines Church. This experience deepened her faith and confirmed her lifelong commitment to serving the Lord.
While in seminary, Wendy met her classmate, Pan Li. They grew together through study and ministry and were married in 2016. That same year, Wendy completed her theological studies and moved to the United States with her husband while he continued his education at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

In 2019, Wendy and her family joined Lake East Christian Church. She first served as a church coworker in administrative ministry, the choir, and the Wheat Group ministry. In 2023, she began serving in the Children Ministry as both a parent and a teaching assistant. Through this experience, she has deeply felt God’s wonderful guidance and shaping in her life.

Today, Wendy serves as the part-time Children Minister with joy and gratitude. She hopes to work alongside the ministry team to help children know and love the Lord and grow in His truth. Wendy and her husband have one son, Jesse.
